post production audio/video and edits

separate sounds

for the opening and ending credits i added in a free to use song called Awake by springtide to add a bit of music into the video and make it more appealing/interesting.
for the opening credits i've cut the song into a few seconds to let it roll into the video
i made the sound fade in during the credits to give the video a smooth roll into the ending credits when the audio plays before fading out again at the end to help with that smooth feel in the video
visual edits
after my rough cut i was advised to reshoot the one of the scenes because of the wind. interrupting the audio and i was visible because of a reflection

before

after
the video is not as clear as before but the wind noise has died down so you can hear them talk more and the reflection of me is no longer there

i messed around with the brightness and contrast to bring out some more color into the video because the original clip was very gloomy looking and not that bright.
in the ending credits i've added in titles with the peoples names that where in the documentary and a picture of them in cosplay. each video is cut up into different scenes so each interview is stretched out so it doesn't feel long. by splitting it up it keeps the viewers attention more

this is an example of the end credits. the picture and the text slowly roll into the video before scrolling off into a new name and picture to show off who the cosplay is and an example of them in cosplay

script and script evaluation

Into cosplay script from Shiro28

script evaluation
the script writing was personally one of the hardest things for be to do in this project. though out it i only had a few drafts which where not the right way of writing a script with the feed back i received i managed to improve the script entirely and added few more people into it to give more information ffabout the subject
after reading the final version i can see how the story flows in the script on how it tells people what cosplay is/ what is like to do it and what it means to the people that do it
i added camera shots into it to show the types of angles i plan to use while filming the footage for the documentary. i've tried to keep each location separate from the other locations by writing them in different places all around cambridge. originally i had to people talk separately but I've decided to change that so that they did the talk together since i was planning on filming them on the same day and this adds sense of community into the script and documentary.
