the difference between story and narrative is that off: story is the event of what is happening at the current time while narrative is how the story is being told

1) expositions - characters/locations
2)development -  get to know the characters
3)complications - something happens that causes the goal for the character
4)climax- the goal is achieved and all problems near to solved
5) resolution - happy ending  

linear is a type of narrative that starts at the start of the story and ends at the end, the story is in a chronological order example big bang theory

nonlinear is a type of narrative sometimes used in literature where some events are portrayed out of chronological order Example Pulp fiction
